Tips To Have A Well Trained Dog

By John Abraham

Some dogs do not seem to learn things easily. They are hard to train. There are many reasons why it is so. Their level of intelligence may actually be higher but they simply resist things due to various reasons. Here are some of them.

Dogs are born natural hunters and fighters. So they keep showing their skills in anything they do. Some of them have a high level of intelligence and dominance. They seem to be hard to train due to these traits. Some are intelligent enough to guess what is going in our mind.

Dogs are often very determined to do that they want to do. If a dog is devoting his attention to a toy or something, you should let him or her do it. Once the dog is satisfied, he or she will stop playing with it.

Dogs can not be easily stopped when they are doing things like digging up soil or chewing things. If they are hard to persuade, it show their high level of dominance and determination. You have to find new ways to persuade them.

While exercising, something may catch the attention of a dog. Whenever something interests him, he will go all out after that thing. You can do get him to exercise till his craze about that thing is over.

You can make the dog training sessions interesting. Hide the toys and do the exercises that stimulate the dog to use his brain. You should find out what he likes and do it more often for training him.

Consider becoming a member at a local kennel club. You will be able to go to various dog shows and even find more information about dog training. Pet owners often have a lot to gain from such club memberships.

Thus you can successfully train your dog to do the right things. But make sure you never use force on him for any reason.

Ways To Curb Your Canine's Biting Tendency

By Eric Renfro

Millions of people are bitten by dogs each year; young children are usually the victim. Not only does this result in a possible health risk for the person who has been bitten, but in the case of kids, it can leave a damaging impression of canines. That is unfortunate. The bond shared between humans and dogs is incredibly strong. Being bitten at a young age can lead to an emotional scar that destroys any chance of enjoying that connection.

The good news is that a canine's biting tendency can be eliminated. Below, I'll explain a strategy that relies heavily upon startling a dog when he bites. I'll also describe the steps you need to take in the event your pooch sinks his teeth into someone.

Curbing The Tendency Through Startle Response

Dogs learn to bite as puppies. If you were to observe them playing with their littermates, you would notice them biting each other while playing. It is natural to them because their mouth is the primary tool they use to hunt. Unfortunately, if your canine's natural tendency to bite is not curbed, it will continue to grow and become a problem for you, your family, and guests.

Many trainers and veterinarians suggest using a "startle response" strategy to teach your pooch not to bite. When he does, make a sharp noise at a high pitch that startles him. If, as a puppy, he were to hurt one of his littermates by biting too hard, this is the noise they would make. When he hears it, he'll know instinctively that he has done something wrong. In some cases, you'll notice that he'll look confused. Take that opportunity to substitute a chew rope or another toy that he can bite. That teaches him that biting is acceptable as long as he doesn't do it to people.

You should also socialize your puppy as soon as possible so he'll learn at an early age what kind of behavior is appropriate around people. Spaying or neutering your dog can also reduce the likelihood of biting.

What To Do If Someone Is Bitten

If your canine bites someone, control him immediately. Then, ask the person who has been bitten whether he or she needs medical attention. Give that person all of your contact information as well as that of your veterinarian. Also, provide your pooch's last vaccination date.

If animal control workers arrive, answer their questions openly; they'll likely want as much information about your canine and the events surrounding the bite as possible. Finally, ask your vet to recommend a professional trainer to help curb the behavior as quickly as possible.

Your dog's biting tendency can be eliminated easily if you devote time toward it when he is still a puppy. Even as an adult dog, the tendency can be suppressed by enrolling him into professional obedience classes. The investment helps ensure the safety of your family and guests.

5 Smart And Easy Tips For Keeping Your Pooch Safe

By Eric Renfro

Your dog relies upon you to keep him safe both inside your home and outside. Most owners realize that they should keep their canines on a leash while they're outside in order to prevent their roaming into the street. But, their responsibility extends much further. In this article, we'll provide five tips that you can use to ensure the safety of your pooch.

#1 - Keep Dangerous Poisons Out Of Reach

Your canine's appetite isn't limited to the meals you provide him during the day. Given the opportunity, he'll eat items that are not meant to be consumed (at least, not by him). For example, he may begin eating antifreeze if it is left within his reach. He might also start eating mouse bait, pesticides, and your own medications. Each of these items can lead to significant health issues. Keep them out of his reach.

#2 - Tag Him

You may think it could never happen, but many owners have learned that their dogs are always willing to explore if they're given the chance. One of the reasons animal shelters in many cities are overflowing is because canines get loose and roam until they're found. Put a collar and tag on your pooch. Also, consider microchipping him. Then, once a week, check to make sure his collar and tags are secure.

#3 - Keep His Head In The Car

It is a rare dog that doesn't love to ride in a car with his head sticking out of the window. The problem is that it invites bugs and debris into his eyes. Plus, if you're involved in a traffic collision, your pooch can be injured. If he's going to ride in the car with you, keep the windows up enough to prevent him hanging his head outside.

#4 - Make Him Ride In The Cab

Owners will often place their dogs in the exposed bed of their trucks. This is incredibly dangerous for a few reasons. First, the stopping and starting can throw him off balance, often into the sides of the vehicle. Second, taking a sharp turn while your pooch is elevated on the side of the vehicle can throw him from the back into traffic. If you own a truck and you're bringing him along, keep him in the cab.

#5 - Have A Veterinarian On File

The worst time to look for a veterinarian is when your dog desperately needs one. You should have the name and contact information of a trusted vet within reach. That includes his or her office phone and an emergency number. You should also have a back-up veterinarian that you can take your canine to in the event your primary vet is unavailable.

Your dog's safety is at risk from accidents. Whether he's getting into rat poison, becomes lost, or is riding in the back of your truck, you don't expect him to get into trouble. It happens unexpectedly. Take the time to make sure he's as safe as possible.

The Basics Of House Training Your Puppy

By Eric Renfro

Puppies should be house trained as early as possible. Over 80% of dogs in the U.S. are kept inside the home by their owners. Failing to properly teach them to control their bladders and bowels will have frustrating consequences later. Fortunately, providing a healthy does of consistent discipline, patience, and attention upfront can help ensure your pup is housebroken early. There will be accidents, so plan for them. In the same way toddlers eventually learn to use the toilet, your puppy will also learn to avoid making a mess in your home.

In this article, we'll describe two important ground rules that you should follow when housetraining your puppy. We'll also explain why establishing a routine is critical and how to handle the occasional accident when it happens.

Establishing The Ground Rules

Owners who are trying to housebreak their puppies often punish them when they make a mess, even if they don't catch them in the act. Avoid doing this. If you see you pup having an accident, a stern "no!" is good enough. There's no need for punishment; in fact, punishing him can have a negative effect.

Also, be generous with your praise. If your puppy is doing things properly, let him know. Remember, dogs need positive reinforcement from their owners. If you only reproach him when he makes a mess and neglect to recognize his successes, it will have a lasting effect.

The Value Of A Routine

The importance of a regular routine when house training your pup cannot be overstated. The repetition reinforces positive behavior. First, make sure you're providing your pup with plenty of opportunities to go outside; once every two hours is appropriate because they cannot control their bladders for long. Second, choose a specific spot outside that he can use to eliminate, and stick to it. If he has an accident, place the rags you use to clean it up in that spot. The odor will remind him where he is supposed to eliminate.

Third, establish a routine that includes regular feeding, playing, and walking time for him. That will help him adopt a consistent elimination schedule.

Paying Attention And Dealing With Accidents

When your pup is indoors, watch him. Don't allow him to roam freely throughout your house. That is an invitation for him to leave a hidden "surprise" for you. Instead, confine him to a certain area and pay attention to signs that he needs to eliminate. When you notice those signs, take him to his designated elimination spot and praise him for his success.

As noted, your puppy will have a few accidents. Don't punish him. If you catch him making a mess inside, interrupt him without scaring him (avoid yelling or chasing him). Take him to his designated area so he can finish. Then, praise him for it. Too many owners are quick to punish their puppies for having an accident. The result is that a pup learns to fear his owner.

Housetraining a puppy requires patience and diligence. However, if you approach it in the right manner, your pup will not only learn to control himself, he'll learn to trust you in the process.

Dog Training Tips: Eliminate Jumping FAST! (2 Secrets - 2 Solutions)

By Scott Erickson

Granny gets invited to your house. When she comes in, your dog happily jumps up on her, causing her head to good crack against the wall. Hey, Grandma, be more careful!

A severe illustration? I guess. Something more likely?

You've made arrangements to meet friends at your favourite restaurant. You're out with your dog for a speedy walk, so that she can do her duty. Tramping through a mud puddle, she decides to jump up on you getting mud all over your pants. Grrr! Will changing pants make you late?

Dangerous for grandma? Yes. Inconvenient and annoying for you and your guests? Right. Does your dog jump up on people too much?

It's a problem that's easy to fix.

Here are some answers.

LOOK AT ME! ME! ME!

Your dog is so keen to see you and be with you when you get home, she jumps up on you. The main reason that dogs jump on people is simply that they're excited to see you. If you want to break your dog of this habit (and you should) don't give her any attention when she does this.

If you give your dog attention - even negative attention - you're reinforcing this jumping routine. It's important to avoid giving any kind of a reaction if you want to change your dogs behaviour. There are a few simple ways of dealing with this routine that are very effective in changing your dogs mind and behaviour.

TIME TO TURN AWAY:

Turn your back on your dog when she jumps on you, or is about to. She believes that jumping on you is the best way to get your attention. Don't make eye contact, and completely ignore her, and her behaviour until she settles down. Praise and pet her when she stops jumping on you. This will help her remember the behaviour that you want from her.

SWAP TIME?

Or instead of turning away, you can give your dog something else to do when they jump up. For instance, commanding them to Sit is a good way to encourage a different behaviour. Be sure to lavish your dog with praise and attention when they complete a command successfully. Soon, your dog will make the association that lunging on you gets them nothing, while sitting gets them plenty of enjoyable attention.

When your dog jumps up on you, is it just annoying? It can become dangerous if your pet jumps on the elderly or children. It's best to train your dog to keep everyone safe.

2 SECRETS:

* Dogs jump up on you because they love you, and are excited to see you

* Giving them any attention, positive or negative, reinforces their behaviour

2 SOLUTIONS:

* Turn away when he jumps

* Give a command: Sit, Go to your place

Remember, a courteous dog is liked by all.

Dog Training Tips- Dog Barking? --REVEALED!-- 4 Secrets!

By Scott Erickson

Bark! Bark!! BARK!!!

The dog barked the neighbor boy right off of his bicycle last week, and they complained. Other people have complained about his barking, and it's getting hard to sleep through the night without getting woken once or twice by his barking fits. GRRR!!WOOF!!!

Can anything be done?

Some problem behaviors are more straightforward to deal with than others. Learning how to deal with your dog's excessive barking problem can seem difficult on several levels. It's absolutely possible to correct and deal with this type of behavior, but you have to take a few things into account. There are a lot of reasons that dogs bark, and you can't stop them from ever barking. You wouldn't want to stop your dog from barking when it's appropriate. It's important to be aware of the possible causes of excessive barking so that you can approach and correct it in the right way. There are 3 or 4 reasons that dogs will bark.

THEY'RE BORED

Your dog may bark because he isn't getting enough mental or physical stimulation. Just like a little kid acting out, your dog may bark because he's bored. Make sure that he's getting the exercise and attention that he needs from you. Don't give him attention when he barks for this reason, though. A direct reaction to this type of barking, even a negative reaction, will only encourage your dog to behave in the same way again.

BREED

Your dog may be bred to bark a lot. Many herding dogs and hounds have this trait because of the job that they were bred to do. If you have one of these breeds, he may be barking because it's in his genes. However, you can still train him to bark only when it's appropriate.

SEPARATED FROM THE PACK

Dogs are pack animals. Your dog may bark too much when you leave him home alone because he's separated from his pack and doesn't know how else to find you again. This can be one of the most difficult excessive barking problems to address, but it can be done when you know what is causing the problem.

The main pitfall you have to be sure to avoid in this type of situation is unconsciously rewarding your dog's barking every time you come home. If your dog is barking while you're gone, and then you come home and immediately give him attention, he will think that it was his barking that caused you to return. In order to break this cycle, you have to ignore your dog if he is barking when you first come home. Once he settles you can initiate contact and give him the attention that he wants.

STRANGERS

Anytime a stranger comes near the house, dogs usually perceive them as being an intruder to the pack. It's tricky to eliminate this because strangers generally unwittingly reward barking behavior. The mailman comes, makes intruder type noises with the mail slot, the dog barks, the mailman retreats. Good Boy!

Certain breeds, boredom, separation from the pack, and strangers will sometimes make dogs bark too much. Although it can be annoying, there are times when it's appropriate for your dog to bark. Barking is one of the ways that dogs express themselves. They just need to know when YOU think it's appropriate, or not.

4 Reasons that Dogs Bark:

* Certain breeds

* Certain breeds

* Separation

* Strangers (intruders to the pack)

Bark, Bark! Grrr!! GOOD BOY!!

Your First Dog Training Guide

By Martin Elmer

It can be an overwhelming experience the first time, you bring home a dog. Your new best friend will need a lot of attention and care. But you will make your life (and your dogs) much easier, if you learn to behave. And here is the right training crucial.

Professional dog trainers make it look so simple to train dogs. But if you think it is, you are wrong. The first time you try yourself, you will probably experience that even the simplest methods are not working. But all dogs try to please their owners, so spend a lot of time with your dog. Then it will love you; and thereby try to obey you.

When the dog is between the age of 3 and 16 weeks, it is a good time to start training it. The bond between you and the dog will take hold. And the training will be easier in the future, if you earn its respect there.

Commands are the first to learn in dog training. But it is not as simple as the experienced dog trainer can make it look. Your dog will probably not obey your commands, when you are trrying the same.

The success lies in the tone of the voice. It may seem like the experienced dog trainers know a secret dog language. But actually they do just know how the tone of the voice can make the dog obey. And if you practice a lot, you can learn the same.

You must have a firm (but non-threatening) tone of voice to show who is the dominating part of you two. If you do not establish that, you will not be able to train your dog. And it will only fear you, if you threats or yells.

Praising you dog is the best way to train it. Tell it when it has done something right. It is possible for a dog to distinguish between right and wrong. But you have to learn it the right behavior with good feedback.

So to shown if it behaves right or wrong, you should use your voice. This way you learn it to distinguish between good and bad behavior. And remember that all dogs are trying to please their owners, so it will do everything it can to follow your instructions.

As a dog training beginner the voice is the first thing you have to master. When you feel comfortable with that, you can start practicing more complicated training methods.

And a final advice; all dogs have different temperament and intelligence. So what might work on one dog, is not always working on other dogs. So find the methods that work with your dog.

Find Out How To Effectively House Train Your Hard-nosed Yorkie!

By Alicia Ainsley Summers

Certain breeds such as Yorkshire Terriers may need a little extra TLC when it comes time to housebreak them. House training puppies can be time intensive, and requires focus, but it will be well worth the investment. With the smaller breeds sometimes it takes a wee bit longer to develop perfect potty habits.

You should begin by first determining if the potty spot will be located inside the home or outside. People who live in condos and apartments tend to favor Yorkies since they don't need much space. You might find that your Yorkie prefers an indoor potty if he is resistant to going outside during cold weather. Another consideration to remember is that these dogs have small bladders, so they can only hold so much! if you are regularly out of the house each day for more than a few hours, you cannot expect your dog to be able to control his bladder for extended periods of time. In this case, choose a discreet area of your home for the puppy training pads. Otherwise, any small strip of grass should do the trick, as long as you use that same spot all the time.

Daily walks are a great way to get into a regular potty routine, as the exercise helps things "get moving" so always offer an opportunity at the beginning and ending of each walk to use the toilet. The scent of urine is an indication to your dog that this is the potty spot, and by using the same area this builds a strong habit. Keep your neighborhood clean by always taking litter bags (baggies work just fine) to clean up any little messes left behind. It's fine if your Yorkie happens to go while you are out on the walk, this is not considered an "accident" since it didn't happen on the floor or other unwanted area.

It's not uncommon to find that your pup refuses to go outside in cold weather, and then goes on the floor inside the home. Adapt to poor weather conditions by having a warm little sweater available. Otherwise, an indoor backup location may be needed.

Don't be afraid to heap lots of praise and affection on your puppy in order to help him learn proper potty habits quickly. Verbal praise should be given immediately and enthusiastically after they are done with their business. A favored treat such as a small piece of cooked chicken or dried liver offered as a reward may give him just the incentive needed!

Anywhere from a week to a month house training a dog is common, and for Yorkies it could be a little longer, so have patience with your little one! If you want to develop a great relationship with your Yorkshire Terrier, learning how to train a puppy is the best thing you can possibly do.

How To Prevent Dog Digging

I am going to share a tip I learned about how to prevent your dog's digging up the yard. I went with my neighbor to run some errands the other day. When we returned to his house about 3 hours later we couldn't even drive through the gate. My friend"s nutty dogs dug a huge hole over five feet across and at least two feet deep. We live at the beach, so it is easy for his dogs to do a lot of damage digging in a short amount of time. His dogs have done this every so often for years. My friend didn't have a clue how to prevent his dogs from digging up his yard.

There are various reason that may be causing the dog's digging behavior. Perhaps your dog is digging because he wants to escape, or maybe just for something to do, or just trying to dig down to some cooler soil below . I've got some good tips on how to prevent dogs from digging up their yard or the garden. My friend's dogs dug up the area right in front of the front gate, so it seemed like an escape attempt. However, on other occasions these same bored dogs have dug holes in the middle of the yard. At other times, his dogs would dig up any areas that were wet from watering to escape the heat of the sand. Finally my neighbor said enough was enough-let's put a stop to this.

Following some of the advice I found on solving digging problems in a great dog training book I have, we decided was to build the dogs their own area where they were free to dig without it being a problem. We enclosed the chosen area of the yard with some dog proof fencing, and because the ground is sand, we already had made the safe digging area for the dogs. We made sure the enclosure had some shade so it wouldn't be uncomfortable for the dogs on hot days. My neighbor even put in a wading pool an [...]

Simple Obedience Techniques for Puppies

By Amy Nutt

Getting a puppy is an exciting time for both the family and the puppy. When a puppy comes into a home, it will be exposed to a variety of new sights, sounds, and places to explore. This can be a very overwhelming and stressful time for the little critter. It is important for the owner to help the puppy adjust and become a well-behaved adult dog. This will involve teaching it to listen to your commands and desensitizing it to new stimuli.

Most puppy behavior experts say the critical learning period for a puppy is up to the age of sixteen weeks. The following are a few simple obedience techniques for training your puppy during this period:

1. Positive reinforcement is a key tool to obedience training. Punishing your puppy will only teach it to fear you and act aggressively to others. Using positive reinforcement as a reward is an essential part of teaching your puppy to be obedient. This can include a food reward, affectionate attention, and a toy as a reward. Praise will make a dog feel loved and more secure.

2. It is important that your puppy becomes desensitized to new environments. Take it for short walks through the streets to help him get use to the new sights, sounds, and people.

3. Reward positive behavior and ignore unwanted behavior during puppy training. Ignore such unwanted behavior as barking, pulling the leash when walking, and jumping on you. Just stand there until it stops and then continue on with the regular routine. When your puppy performs a wanted behavior such as walking next to you or sitting quietly, reward it with praise or a puppy treat. Clicker training is a type of positive reinforcement training that acknowledges that the dog has behaved properly. The "click" sound acknowledges the good behavior. The "click" sound is made as soon as the puppy performs the wanted behavior. As soon as you make the "click" sound, you can reward the puppy with a treat or praise.

4. In order to ensure your puppy does not grow to be an aggressive dog around children, you have to socialize it with children at an early age. When the puppy is around children, praise and reward calm behavior. Allow the puppy to be touched by one child at a time, and don?t force it to be touched as this will only instill fear.

5. A car drive can be a scary time for a puppy. They can vomit, drool, or urinate. Your car should be a comfortable and fun place with familiar items such as its favorite toys and blanket. Take it for a short drive at first and then gradually increase driving time.

6. To teach your puppy to sit, get him to stand in front of you. Show the puppy the treat and let it smell the treat. Move the treat from his front to his hind end. As he watches the treat move to the back end, you should put the treat closer to the floor. The puppy should automatically sit its hind end down. When it does, immediately reward it with the treat and praise.

When properly training your puppy, the reward will not only be a well behaved dog, but you will have a loving and loyal friend.

How to Crate Train Your Puppy

Bringing home a new puppy is always an exciting and fun time for the family. We all love playing with the new puppy. Of course, there is one aspect of the new puppy no one likes-the puppy thinks the whole world is his toilet. Crate training puppies is the easiest and best way to deal with the whole house training process. In comparison with the old way of placing newspapers on the floor, the crate training method is so much easier and quicker. The paper on the floor technique was a sloppy way to go about it, but better than nothing. After stepping on a particularly nasty "accident" in the middle of the night that was deviously hidden by the dark, I decided I better look into getting a crate for my puppy.

You will avoid having the accidents that will inevitably happen with other house training systems. You are asked to keep your new puppy inside his crate all the time unless you are actively supervising him-such as it's playtime or dinner time or time for some training. Murphy's Law says the moment you take your eyes off your puppy, he'll pick that moment to go potty in the house.

  • Keep your puppy in his crate near you during the day so he feels more secure and comfortable. If you work in a home office, for instance, place the kennel in the office with you, so your puppy feels more secure. You can also keep an eye and ear open for any whining that might indicate it is time for a potty break. Even if your puppy seems bored in the crate and whines a bit, only let him out for a potty break followed by supervised feeding and play time .
  • Your puppy will always need to go potty very shortly after waking up from a nice nap, so be alert for when you hear him wake up and make some noises. He will also need to go within 30 minutes or so after eating or drinking, so don't put him back into is crate if he has just had a meal until he has first taken care of business. If you always bring him to the same area to relieve himself and reward h [...]

How Buying the Right Dogs Toys Can Help to Boost Their Intelligence

Giving your dog the right kind of toys to play with can produce many benefits for both them and you.
There is a common misconception that dogs’ toys are only designed to help relieve their boredom, but this is not their only use.
Dogs toys in general are excellent for relieving their boredom and particularly good where you may find yourself having to leave your dog on it's own at certain times, but, for your dogs sake, there are plenty of reasons why you should think about buying your dog some toys.
Several toys for dogs are designed to boost their intelligence. For example, the kind that they will only get rewarded for after they have successfully completed certain tasks.
These toys can be a very effective method of training your dog, as it’s seen as being fun for your dog as well as a means to teaching them.
There are some toys on the market that can help your dog to understand what they can and cannot chew and in buying these you can save yourself a lot of expense by not having to replace costly household items that may be damaged by your pet dog chewing them.
Toys that help your dog strengthen and keep their teeth clean and toys that help teach your dog with retrieval training, both have their purpose.
What you ideally need to decide, before buying the toys, is what you want the toys for. It is also a good idea to take into account the kind of personality your dog has to enable you to get the right sort of toys for their temperament and level of intelligence.
Some dogs’ toys are only designed to last a short time, after which they are to be replaced by new alternative ones, and these replacement ones can often be the chewing kind.
Some toys that are designed to be chewed are flavoured so you may need to check what ingredients they have used for the flavouring or you might end up buying a toy for your dog that they are allergic to.
These flavoured toy [...]

Checking The "Professional" Material in Your Great Dane

Have you ever wondered if your pet Great Dane deserves to be in show? Or do you have plans of getting your Great Dane puppy to be in shows later on? If you need hints on these concerns, then read on. Compare and contrast the traits of your own dog against the following to verify if your dog is made of professional, or show-material stuff.

Height and Weight

The height of Great Dane male dogs is usually 30 to 34 inches or around 76 to 86 centimeters. On the other hand, female Great Danes are 28 to 32 inches or 71 to 81 centimeters high. Now, the weight of a Great Dane is around 120 to 200 pounds for males and 100 to 130 pounds for females. If your Great Dane slightly pushes beyond the range provided then it is deemed to be of higher value. The Dane is among the world's tallest breed of dogs. So, in order for them to be acknowledged as of professional caliber, your dog needs to be of outstanding height.

Good Pedigree

In order for the dog to be of fully professional material, it needs to be seen that the dogs have a sound mind, longevity, body and health. All the breed members that are able to make it to the shows are certified as free from inherited or indigenous issues. Your Great Dane must have no disqualifying faults, and has the breed's traits of a buff sport-loving canine, with a positive bond with humans. It will be even better if your dog is an example in at least some of the conformation traits, sometimes due perhaps to great dane training. If so, then you have a dog maturing into a possible Professional Great Dane!

Superior Traits

For a Great Dane to be deemed as having a future in show, the dog needs to be in the pink of health, and also have a positive character and personality. From this arises the harmony in the dog of balance and proportion. If your dog has the [...]

Do's and Dont's of Boston Terrier Training

The Boston Terrier is not called the American Gentleman for nothing! He is a smart and robust-looking dog breed that is sensitive to changes in the atmosphere and the mood around him. Considering all these, it is indeed crucial that the dog is able to have some proper obedience and behavior training as soon as its age permits. And when it comes to effective, far-reaching boston terrier, the answer is positive reinforcement.

The first idea that must be clear on everybody is that any form of aggression simply won't lead to any result in dog training, and worse, is actually detrimental to the dog. Beating or scolding a dog into a submissive state of seemingly positive behavior is not only abusive, but a completely ineffective approach to training that may even scar the dog for life, or inculcate violent behavior in it. (On the other hand, the first idea of a positive reinforcement-based dog training is to respect the dog's pack animal instinct.Indeed, even a puppy's instincts helps it to flesh out the power structure in its environment, i.e. who are the leaders and the followers.

Despite all these valuable ideas, it is rather unfortunate that in the eyes of most experts, countless dog owners take for granted that the dog(s) needs visible and clear authority figures. Our second idea arises from the fact that many owners precisely do not draw a line between themselves and their ultra-cute Boston Terrier. It is very common to spoil your new puppy with affection and attention with no boundaries. Believe it or not, there is actually a deformative lack of authority when a Boston Terrier is allowed any type of behavior sans restrictions! Here are more ideas how is it possible that no authority is set at home. When a dog is treated as a friend that can come and go, and not as a pet that needs to request or to obey, there is a lack of helpful boundaries and restrictions.

When all this pampe [...]
